A few notes about the notes.
what this is
A digital garden. Not a blog — there’s no chronological feed, no “posts,” no schedule. It’s a working notebook with permalinks, where I let half-formed ideas live next to ones I’ve thought about more carefully. Some pages will get rewritten. Some will stay short for years.
what i’ll write about
The things I keep coming back to:
- machine-learning systems, especially the engineering around them — recommendation, observability, the patient infrastructure that takes a model from a notebook to something that holds up under load
- the long arc — economic and political history, the slow forces that shape the systems we end up working in
- the practice — how a daily yoga practice, years of competitive debate, and writing code all end up teaching you the same thing about effort and attention
- books — what I’m reading and why
how it’s built
Quartz on GitHub Pages. Open-source, statically generated, deployed by GitHub Actions on every commit to main. Source lives in a private repo; the rendered site you’re looking at is public.
If a link is broken or a thought is incomplete, that’s expected — that’s the digital-garden part. back to home.
